I am so thankful that Dr. Deeter and Mrs. Deeter were able to come in and talk to our class about dental health! The kids had so much fun and took a lot away from their visit. THANK YOU!
The first thing he talked to them about was how many baby teeth they had and they were given an x-ray and asked to find the baby teeth in it. The kids did a great job! He made sure to check everyone's x-ray and talk to them individually about it.
Then, each student got to try out those purple chewables that show you how well you brushed your teeth. Those little tablets are the greatest invention!
After the kids chewed them up Dr. Deeter showed the them how to properly brush their teeth with the help of his kangaroo assistant.
Then it was their turn to try!
They brought in a bag FULL of goodies for each student! Inside each bag was a toothbrush, toothpaste, floss, kid friendly floss, a pencil, a tatoo, and a few other goodies!
Then, it was time to find out what happens when you go to the dentist. He had a helpful volunteer from our class to help with the demonstration. He checked out her teeth and even wore some of the tools that he uses!
He then inspected each studetns mouth to see how well they had brushed. He used their toothbrushes and checked for any purple that was left on their teeth.
Lastly, he went over flossing with the kids.
The kids had a great time with Dr. Deeter and Mrs. Deeter! I can't say thank you enough to the both of them for taking the time to come in and help us finish up our dental health week!
